Celebrations
Many donations of canned food were made last week and now we are preparing the items for pick up. Thank you for your support of our community.
Thank you Mrs. Palmateer and Mrs. Kamendat for putting together the Christmas Light Run on Friday evening! It was wonderful to see students and their families enjoying the beautiful weather for a run or walk in holiday swag. We are grateful for our PTA Executive Board and middle school NHS students and Saint Clair County Land Sharks that volunteered to make sure everything ran smoothly. Mr. Kamendat was also a key figure as he made sure the inflatable arch went up and stayed anchored to the ground. This event was the culmination of strategic minds coming together to fulfill a void for our students and community.
Parking
The front parking lot has 6 signs that indicate they are reserved for specific students and their parents. These spots were earned by these students by raising funds during the Husky Hustle. Please refrain from parking in these spots unless you are the parent of the student on the sign.

Cold Weather
Students will line up at morning arrival when the temperature is below 15 degrees. We will also have indoor recess when the temperature is at this temperature as well.
Students are required to wear a jacket for recess when the temperature is 30 degrees or lower.
Holiday Sing Along
A school-wide holiday sing along will take place on Thursday, December 21st, 2:00 - 3:00 pm.
This event will be streamed live via our PTA Facebook page and will be posted there after it has been recorded.
Each grade level will sing a song with the entire student body present in the gym.
Keewahdin 4th Annual Electric Parade
Wednesday, December 20th @ 5:30 vehicles will depart Keewahdin
Keewahdin team members will decorate their vehicles and travel through a few subdivisions to celebrate the holidays. A map of routes will be provided and parents are encouraged to line the route to see the cars and SantaPAWS.
We will visit these neighborhoods: Shorewood, Fox Valley, Indian Trails
PTA Major Funding Projects
Over the last 5-6 years our PTA has funded major projects for our students
Eighteen Ozobots for coding in tech class
Four picnic tables for outdoor learning area
Murals in the main lobby, two walls in the hallway and gym
Outdoor learning area and 4 new picnic tables
StoryWalkⓇ to display books outside around the playground
Rockwall in the gym used for physical education.
Portable PA sound system
