Wednesday evening the Varsity Quiz Bowl Team traveled to Armada High School for competition in the Blue Water Quiz Bowl League Tournament.  The team played through the winner's bracket and met Armada for the Championship.  Armada proved to be tough competition and forced overtime when the match ended in a tie.  PHN won in overtime thanks to a tremendous effort from Paul Backlas who got the team into an early lead and had a strong contribution with the bonus questions.  The team stayed undefeated in league play at 18-0, won the tournament, and also will earn the "traveling trophy" for the best-combined league score.  Congratulations to team members:  Shyan Lal (captain), Paul Backlas, Nathan Sparschu, Logan Wilcox, and Kevin Gao.
