School’s almost out! LEAD Team will be hosting a fundraiser to Duct Tape Mrs. Collins to the wall on Wednesday May 17th during all three lunches!  For every one dollar you spend, you’ll be given two long strips of duct tape! Do your part by bringing a dollar to the hallway between the school store and the cafeteria! Partial proceeds will go to the Sandy Hook Promise!

On Wednesday May 3rd, Varsity tennis beat Romeo 5-3. Scoring for the Huskies were Lily VanHowe at 1 Singles, Addison Lyons at 2 Singles, Amara Makim at 3 Singles, Phoebe Muir and Ashlyn Kinney at 1 Doubles, and Grace Goldman and Kate VanHowe at 2 Doubles.   On Monday May 8th Varsity competed in the annual Novi Invitational against Bloomfield Hills and Novi. Despite a loss to #6 ranked Novi, 2 Singles Addison Lyons and 3 Singles Amara Makim both won their matches to get points on the board. The Huskies tied #3 ranked Bloomfield Hills 4-4, with 2 Singles Addison Lyons, 4 Singles Avery Witter, 2 Doubles Grace Goldman and Kate VanHowe, and 3 Doubles Ella Beck and Sophie Harris winning their matches. Lyons won both matches earning first place for her flight at the tournament.   1 Singles Lily VanHowe, 2 Singles Addison Lyons, and 3 Doubles Ella Beck and Sophie Harris won their matches last night against Stoney Creek. Varsity is back in action tonight away against #5 ranked Eisenhower.  On Thursday May 4th, JV girls tennis won against Chippewa Valley 10-2. Winning singles matches were 1 singles Alana Dooley, 2 singles Payton Snyder, 3 singles Pearl Porrett, and 4 singles Olivia Kartheiser. Winning doubles matches were 1 doubles Izzy Dunay and Vanessa Lay-own Flann, 2 doubles Jordyn Bawnuck and Ellie Lakawskas, 3 doubles Brianna Johnson and Alyssa Reid, 4 doubles Michelle Gore and Rida Noor, 5 doubles Ashlyn Smith and Maddy Schott, and 8 doubles Payton Snyder and Rori Gardner.  On Saturday, May 6th, JV girls tennis played in the Dakota tournament. Winning one match were 1 singles Payton Snyder, 4 singles Brianna Johnson and 3 doubles Sarah Bernard and Ashlyn Smith.  On Tuesday, May 9th, JV girls tennis played in the MAC Red Tournament. Winning two matches and second place were 2 doubles Jordyn Bawnuck and Ellie Lakawskas. Winning one match were 1 singles Alana Dooley, 1 doubles Izzy Dunay and Vanessa Lay-own Flann, and 4 doubles Michelle Gore and Rida Noor.
