There will be no JV "A" or JV "B" baseball practice today
Team 3667, The Mecanum Knights had an exciting weekend at the FIRST in Michigan District event at Macomb Community College on April 1st and 2nd. After 2 days of qualification matches they were ranked 22nd among 41 teams going into the alliance selection portion of the competition.
During alliance selections The Mecanum Knights were chosen by the 1st seed alliance to compete along side of Team 1189, The Gearheads, out of Grosse Pointe, Michigan and Team 494, The Martians from Goodrich, Michigan. The First Seed Alliance dominated the quarterfinal, semifinal and final matches and won the Macomb District event with a record of 6-0 in the playoff rounds!
Along with winning the FIRST Macomb District Event, Team 3667 was also awarded the Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen. This award celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.
The team is currently ranked 54th out of the 476 Michigan teams and hopes to compete at the Michigan FIRST Championship at Saginaw Valley State University April 13-16th.
